- What happens when the trial ends?
- Vampire switches to viewer mode. Browsing, search, the viewer, tags and folders, export, sync and connecting to a server keep working. Importing, clipping, screenshots and Eagle import ask for a license. Nothing is deleted or locked.
- Can I always get my data out?
- Yes. Your originals stay on your disks as they are, and the MIT
vamp CLI reads and writes the same library with or without Vampire.
- How do I activate it?
- Polar emails your license key with the receipt. Paste it into Vampire, Settings, License. That Mac takes one of your 3 slots.
- I have a 4th Mac.
- Deactivate one from the app (Settings, License, or the prompt on the new Mac) and activate the new one. Macs not seen for 180 days stop counting.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. Vampire checks its license about once a day when it can. Without a connection it keeps working fully for about four months, then drops to viewer mode until it can check again.
- What does "every future update" mean?
- Every new version of Vampire for Mac, free, for as long as you have the license. If a paid major version ever exists, it would apply to new buyers only.
- Who sells it, and why + VAT?
- Polar (polar.sh) is the merchant of record: it runs checkout, adds VAT, GST or sales tax where your country requires it, and sends the receipt. Prices are in US dollars before tax. We never see your card.
- How do refunds work?
- Within 30 days of a payment, email support@vamp.sh and we refund it through Polar. No questions. A refunded license stops working at its next check. Refund policy.
- Do I need to pay to share my library?
- No. Use
vamp serve on your own machine and vamp join on a replica to connect the people, machines and agents you admit. This is whole-library access, not hosted public links.
